Karnataka: Sea Walkway Inagurated
Udupi district in-charge minister Mr. Pramod Madhwaraj inaugurated the state’s first 480-m Sea Walkway near the Malpe Tourism Jetty. The minister said that, in India, this is the second sea walkway after one in Kerala. To develop Malpe as a tourist destination, so far, the government has spent more than Rs 22 crore on various development works. The new walkway was built at a cost of Rs 54 lakh. Malpe port is the second port in the nation with a large number of fishing boats. St Mary’s island is also considered as one of the cleanest islands in the nation.
