Work begins on seven NE Kentucky Bridges

WWork expected to start this week on a $900,000 bridge deck restoration project to improve seven bridges in northeast Kentucky has been rescheduled, as per the news reports.
The project has started on Monday, July 9, when contractors plan to close the KY 1661 bridge over the Little Sandy River (mile point 1.6) near Grayson in Carter County. The road will be closed at the bridge for 10 days for a pavement overlay and other work. During construction, all KY 1661 traffic will be detoured using KY 7 and KY 1661. Signs will be posted. Motorists should watch message boards for schedule changes.
Work to repair the US 60 bridge over the Little Sandy River in downtown Grayson (mile point 24.5) has been postponed until the week of July 23. Once work begins that week, all US 60 traffic will be restricted to one-lane across the bridge controlled by temporary traffic signals. The bridge will remain one lane until construction is complete, which is expected to take about 30 days.
