The railway authorities are also planning to revamp external appearance to make passenger experience smooth. Work to decongest traffic has already started on the Ajmeri Gate side and a number of key buildings have been shifted to allow more space for cars to drop off and pick passengers opposite platform 16, added the report.
The work has already begun on and the project deadline has been set for December. On the other hand, operations to erect a skywalk have also started with the help of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). After the construction of the skywalk, metro passengers can directly reach the station without encountering any waves of traffic.
