Civil Engineering And Construction Review: Can you provide an overview of the types and capacities of TIL’s range of Crushing and Screening Equipments?
Raj Shrivastav: TIL is in close partnership with Telsmith Inc., Kolberg Pioneer Inc. (KPI), Johnson Crushers International (JCI) and Astec Mobile Screens (AMS), all of which belong to Astec Aggregate & Mining Group (AAMG).
This co-operation results in a range of globally acclaimed Crushing & Screening solutions from TIL’s Kharagpur Works in West Bengal.
We provide solutions for the mining, quarrying, construction, demolition, and recycling industries – offering a range of world-class Jaw Crushers, Cone Crushers, Vertical Shaft Impact Crushers and Vibrating Screens in Track, Wheeled & Modular / Stationary Plant configurations, along with High Frequency Screens.
CE&CR: We have noted that you are also making portable crushing equipment. What are the advantages of the portable units in terms of benefit for the project?
Raj Shrivastav: There are some differences between Portable / Track and Stationary Plants. Since Portable / Track Plants are of a standard design, their delivery times are shorter. They can be deployed on site much faster and they can also be quickly transported between different sites, an advantage that Stationary Plants do not have.
CE&CR: Have the portable solutions changed the way the market dealt with Crushing and Screening?
Raj Shrivastav: Portable Crushing & Screening solutions have definitely made a difference, especially to contractors who have simultaneous operations in multiple sites. Portable / Track Plants by virtue of faster set-up time, can be quickly transported and deployed at different sites, positively impacting productivity and profitability.
Raj Shrivastav: The hallmark of TIL remains in providing innovative solutions for the aggregate, mining, quarrying and construction industries. Our machines are superior by design, amply dimensioned and robust in construction. Astec-TIL offers well laid out crushing & screening plants that ensure ease of feeding, processing and extraction of crushed product. Design standardisation ensures reduced lead times.
The ruggedness and reliability of our Crushing Equipment, based on proven technology of Astec Aggregate and Mining Group (AAMG) Companies, is one of the most important criteria for selecting our
Both the Kodiak and SBS range of Cone Crushers feature fixed shaft type of design. A unique roller bearing design of the KPI-JCI Kodiak® Plus series of Cone Crushers reduces operating expenses by up to 50 percent, while improving production and energy efficiency. The Kodiak® Plus Cone Crusher meets coarse and fine crushing application requirements and offers on-the-fly adjustability for easy operation.
Our AMS range of High Frequency Screens, operate at around 3600 RPM and above, maximizing screen efficiency and production. A unique tensioning system provides the quickest screen media changes in the market, up to 50 percent faster than competitive models. Our high frequency screens offer ideal gradation control for reclaiming fines. These High Frequency Screens ensure efficient separation in dry processing of M-sand, especially in areas where there is a water shortage.
CE&CR: How do you provide a satisfactory customer service for your crushing equipment?
Raj Shrivastav: There is a growing trend among customers to demand shorter delivery times, larger capacities and high plant availabilities. They also expect end-to-end solutions combined with strong customer service and support.
The foremost priority for TIL, has always been to ensure higher productivity for the customer. Faster accessibility to parts and skilled service engineers, stationed close to customer sites, ensure faster problem resolution and maximum equipment uptime.
CE&CR: Are the clients’ operators trained in the equipment? Is there an institution set up, which provides all the information for correct and useful operation of the equipment?
Raj Shrivastav: TIL has a policy of ensuring that the customer’s operating and maintenance teams are trained during plant commissioning. Regular visits by our Customer Support teams present further opportunities for training on operational & maintenance aspects and troubleshooting at our plants.
