Road is the most important infrastructure of all public assets. Condition of roads is a major indicator of a nation’s growth and prosperity. An efficient road network provides connectivity, which opens up more areas and stimulates socio-economic development of the connected regions. With government’s support on development projects, 2018 became a remarkable year for roads, highways and infrastructure. The nation constructed 9,829 kilometres of roads, or 27-km a day, till December 2018 according to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways data. In addition to the humungous construction of roads, government has also now been vigilant on making iconic concrete and green roads. Some of the major road projects in limelight are Pradhanmantri Gram Sadak Yojna for rural road connectivity, Bharatmala for urban roads and highways construction, Eastern Peripheral – green and smart expressway equipped with Message Signs (VMS), CCTV, VIDS, Warning Devices, Over speed Checking System and a lot more, and various other National highways, expressways, etc. All these projects have added to the salience of the infrastructure and road construction in India.

Government’s investment and focus on road projects has benefitted the construction and infrastructure sector. At CASE India, we believe that announcement of more such projects will help in further growth of the industry.

Time bound projects need reliable as well as durable machines equipped with advanced technologies and considering this aspect, CASE India’s machines equipped with FPT Industrial engines, which is renowned for its fuel efficiency and for its power. Advanced machine-control technologies make sure that there is timely completion of projects. Also, there is an improvement in the quality of work. For road-segment, CASE India offers a range of compaction series equipped with best-in-class technologies. For Asphalt Application, CASE India offers 752EX (9T Class- Powered by FPT Engine developing 76HP) Vibratory Tandem Compactor and 450DX Mini Tandem Compactor (3T Class- Powered by Mahindra Industrial Engine developing 45HP).

In Soil compactors, CASE India has 1107EX (11 T class-Powered by FPT Engine developing 100HP) available in three variants - Standard, Drum Drive and Pad Foot Drum. This series is technically equipped to provide information on amplitude, frequency and ICV (intelligence compaction value) – information related to density of soil compacted. The information is available to the operator on the screen. The ICV value is different for difference surfaces. Once desired density is achieved, on-screen green light signals the operator to stop and avoid over compaction. In this way, saving of fuel and time is achieved and damage to the surface is avoided.

CASE India has also recently launched 1110 EX- D Soil Compactor (12T Class – Powered by FPT engine developing 110HP), with its closed HVAC cabin and a more powerful engine, the compactor is highly suitable for heavier application usage.
CASE India offers a range of Motor Graders as well, which are imported from Brazil. These Motors Graders are best suited for road construction. In Crawler Dozer, there are three models 1150L, 1650L and 2050 M suitable for road construction. All these Graders and Dozers are equipped with best in class fuel efficient electronically controlled FPT Engine. Additionally CASE India also has SR130 Skid Steer loader, which is imported from USA (Rated operating load – 590kg, Equipped with ISM Engine developing 49HP) and is suitable to work in confined spaces for general construction application.
With encouraging spending on roads, bridges and other infrastructure, the construction equipment and earthmoving industry is poised for another record year. Going with the trend of previous year, 2019 looks promising for the industry, we expect and believe that the positive momentum will continue, whereas we might experience some fluctuations, due to elections. The government has been quite supportive and we are hoping for an industry friendly government next year as well.
We believe, a country’s infrastructure growth is directly linked to development efforts and improving living standards. Thus, as a part of the construction industry, we contribute to the economy in terms of growth and employment.
