Singapore’s LTA Awards $704 Million Civil Construction Contracts For NSC Project
Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) has awarded three contracts totalling S$954.1 million ($704.1m), for the construction of North-South Corridor (NSC) viaduct between Sungei Seletar and Admiralty Road West.
Work under the contracts is scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2020. The contracts represent the last of the 14 NSC building contracts scheduled to be awarded. Planned for completion in 2026.
Of the LTA’s three contracts, the first contract valued at S$365.9 million ($270 m) was awarded to a consortium comprising Wai Fong Construction, China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation Branch Office Singapore and China Railway 11 Bureau Group (Singapore Branch).
Under the contract, the consortium will design and construct a 3.1 km section of the viaduct located between Sungei Seletar and Yishun Avenue 5.
The second and third contracts, which have a combined value of S$588.2 million ($434 m),
were awarded to Hyundai Engineering & Construction. Hyundai Engineering & Construction will design and construct a 4.5 km
section of the viaduct located between Yishun Avenue 5 and Admiralty Road West.
