Centre Approves 4-Lane Bridge On Brahmaputra River At ₹ 3094 Cr
The Centre has approved the construction of a 3 km long 4-lane bridge on Brahmaputra river in Kamrup district and will be constructed at an estimated total cost of ₹ 3094 crores, Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Finance Minister issued a statement. “The bridge will decongest Guwahati and increase transport efficiency thus helping in cutting down travel time for daily commuters from the adjoining districts,” she added.
Sitharaman also said that the bridge will facilitate direct connectivity to the internationally renowned silk town of Sualkuchi and the industrial region of Amingaon with Guwahati and the International airport.
Orders Worth ₹ 1,849 Cr Bagged By Engineering Firm JMC
JMC Projects (India) Ltd. (JMC), has secured new orders of ₹ 1,849 crore, including B&F projects in India of `857 crore and social housing projects in Maldives of `992 crore company issued a statement.
“We are particularly enthused with our first international B&F order in the Maldives, which will enable us to showcase our design and build capabilities for such a large size order. With the above orders, our order inflows this year have reached ₹ 7,959 crore. Our strong order book and robust execution capabilities give us good visibility for growth in the coming quarters,” JMC Projects CEO and MD, SK Tripathi said.
Jammu And Kashmir Govt Signs MoU With Dubai For Development Projects
The J&K government signed an MoU with Dubai for real estate development, industrial parks and super-speciality hospitals. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed for IT towers, multi-purpose towers, real estate development, industrial parks, logistics, medical college, super-speciality hospitals.
On the occasion, Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal highlighted the significance of the day with the signing of the MoU with Dubai, and said, “This MoU gives out a strong signal to the entire world that the way India is transforming into a global power, Jammu & Kashmir is having a significant role into that as well,”.
Goyal said this MoU is a milestone after which the investment will pour in from the entire globe and is a big developmental push. “Different entities from Dubai have shown keen interest in investment. Development has to be aspired on all fronts and we are on track” “The recent industrial package of ₹ 28,400 crore is a testimony towards ensured development,” he added.
