Construction of Bihar’s First Expressway to Commence Soon

The first expressway dedicated to Bihar will soon be a reality for people. The construction of 189-km long Amas-Darbhanga expressway will soon see dawn.

The 189-km expressway will start from Amas in Aurangabad district located on Delhi-Kolkata NH-19 and will go all the way to NH-27 at the Nawada village in Darbhanga district crossing seven districts, including Arwal, Jehanabad, Patna, Vaishali and Samastipur. The land acquisition of this ambitious project is almost completed and will be constructed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

The project will be constructed in four packages and the first package starts from Amas to Shivrampur of 55 km, second package from Shivrampur to Ramnagar of 54.3 km, third package from Rampur to Pal Dashara of 45 km and the fourth package from Pal Dashara to Nawada of 44.1 km. The expected cost of the project is `6,000 crore and NHAI has allotted the tender to three construction companies. NHAI has set a deadline to complete the project by 2024. NHAI has notified this expressway as NH-119D.


India to Soon Export Green Hydrogen

India is in talks with the international governments to export green hydrogen made in the South Asian nation, “We are in a position to make green hydrogen as our main source of energy in the future,” Prabhat Kumar, an Additional Secretary of the External Affairs Ministry, was quoted as saying in an event.

The Indian government is planning a massive expansion of green hydrogen production to curb its dependence on energy imports and to estrange the economy off fossil fuels to meet climate goals.


Arunachal Pradesh’s First Greenfield Airport Inaugurated

PM Modi inaugurated Arunachal Pradesh’s first Greenfield airport, Donyi Polo Airport, in Itanagar’s Hollongi and a 600-MW Kameng hydropower station in West Kameng district.

State governor Brig. (Retd.) Dr. B.D. Mishra said the airport will provide easy travelling facilities for investors and in medical emergencies, besides, facilitating students studying in other states and travellers.

The Donyi Polo airport has been developed by the Airports Authority of India at an estimated cost of `645 crore. It will have eight check-in counters and can accommodate 200 passengers during peak hours, the officials said.

Spread over a 4,100 sq. m area, Donyi Polo airport will be equipped with all the modern facilities for passengers. It will have a 2,300 meter-long runway suitable for landing and take-off of Boeing 747, the officials said.
